Kentucky State Police is again asking for the public’s help to identify the suspects responsible for the 2015 murder of 79-year old Amos Yoder in Todd County.
KSP has previously said that on June 28th, 2015 at a few minutes after 8 a.m., Enos Yoder called Todd County Dispatch and said someone had broken into his father’s Old Trenton Road home. He believed that his father had been assaulted and killed and that his step mother, 75-year old Marjorie Yoder, was also at the home and that he didn’t know her condition at the time.
The Todd County Sheriff’s Department arrived in about 10 minutes and called for assistance from state police.
Investigation determined the Yoders had been sleeping when unknown suspects entered their home at about 2 a.m. and demanded money. Both victims were bound and assaulted and Amos Yoder died from his injuries in the home. His wife survived and was treated at a hospital for severe injuries.
The suspects fled the home with an unknown amount of cash.
Police say multiple items of evidence were collected and documented at the crime scene. A specialized team processed the home for fingerprints and several items were seized and examined for DNA evidence.
Multiple people have been interviewed, but no arrests have been made.
Anyone with information on the suspects responsible for the murder of Amos Yoder should call KSP at 1-800-222-5555.
