A relatively new local organization focused on helping boys grow into young men will host its inaugural gala fundraiser next month.
La Tara Hopson is the Military Affiliated Student Success Professional at Austin Peay State University and says Men2Be, Inc. has 11 mentors helping about 40 local boys.
The gala is scheduled for Saturday, August 7 at 5 p.m. at the Wyndham Gardens in Hopkinsville and tickets are $50.
She says the black-tie event will honor local “distinguished workers.”
