The Chicago Cubs exploded for seven runs in the first inning, only to lose 15-7 to the Milwaukee Brewers. The Cubs-who have lost six straight games-are off today before opening a weekend series tomorrow night at Cincinnati.
Ozzie Albies homered twice as the Atlanta Braves demolished the New York Mets 20-2. Albies set career-highs with five hits, four runs and seven RBI. He became second Braves player since 1901 to produce that statline and hit two home runs. Atlanta matched its season-high with 20 runs after beating the Pirates 20-1 on May 21st. The series wraps up tonight at Truist Park.
