It’s Military Appreciation Day at the Western Kentucky State Fair with another full slate of activities.
Rain caused attendance on Tuesday to be below 2019 levels for the first time this fair, with 2,215 people entering the gates, as opposed to 4,675 two years ago when there was also a traditional Pennyrile Electric annual meeting.
Gates open at 4 and rides at 5, with members of the military able to purchase $10 arm bands for unlimited rides. The arm bands will be $20 for everyone else.
Tony Meacham with the executive board says trivia night will debut in the air-conditioned convention center at 7—the same time lawn tractor pulls are getting underway in the grandstand.
The 4H/FFA Sheep show is at 6 p.m. in the livestock pavilion and a complete schedule can be found at westernkentuckystatefair.org.
