Tuesday is Pennyrile Electric Day at the WKSF

It’s Pennyrile Electric Day at the Western Kentucky State Fair and while there will be no annual meeting, you can still get into the fair for free.

Monday’s fair attendance was 4,428—a significant increase from Monday of 2019 when 2,522 people walked through the gates.

Brent Gilkey with Pennyrile says the cooperative hosted member appreciation days to hand out buckets and lightbulbs, but the coupon for your family to get in for free between 4 and 5:30 p.m. came in the June Kentucky Living magazine.

There will be live bluegrass music in the air-conditioned convention center with two performances by the Little Roy and Lizzy show—one at 6 p.m. and one at 7:30.

Go-Kart races will be the featured entertainment in the grandstand at 7 p.m., with a $5 ticket or a $6 combo ticket at the gate getting you in.

Gates open to the fair at 4 and rides at 5, with a $20 armband getting you unlimited rides.
