NHL

The Tampa Bay Lightning cruised to victory 5-1 over the Montreal Canadiens in Game One of the Stanley Cup Final in Tampa. Game two is Wednesday night.

The NHL is taking its All-Star Game to Las Vegas in 2022. Las Vegas has become a popular hockey destination since the Golden Knights broke through in the league in 2017. It’s the first All-Star Game for the NHL since St. Louis hosted the event in 2020.

NBA

Paul George went off for 41 points, 13 rebounds and six assists as the Los Angeles Clippers staved off elimination with a 116-102 win over the Phoenix Suns in Game Five of the Western Conference Finals in Phoenix. The Suns lead the series 3-2 with Game Six Wednesday night.

Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young is listed as questionable for tonight’s Game Four of the Eastern Conference Finals. Young underwent an MRI on his right foot Monday and it revealed a bone bruise to put his status in question. The guard suffered the injury when he stepped on NBA official Sean Wright’s right foot and sprained his ankle Sunday night. Milwaukee leads Atlanta two games to one.
