A Texas woman was arrested by Hopkinsville police on strangulation and assault charges following a disturbance at the La Quinta Inn Saturday morning.
A 45-year old Hopkinsville woman dialed 911 from the front desk at the hotel just after 7 a.m. and officers arrived to find her with visible injuries to her face, neck and arms.
She told HPD that the suspect, 56-year old Michelle Mixon of Canyon, Texas, had assaulted and strangled her and that she took her phone and wouldn’t let her call 911.
Officers found Mixon still in the room and she was arrested for first-degree strangulation, fourth degree assault and intimidation of a participant in the legal process.
