The Western Kentucky State Fair gets underway this evening after it was canceled last year due to the pandemic.
Gates open at 5 p.m., rides start at 6 with a $15 arm band getting you unlimited rides.
Tony Meacham of the executive board says while much has changed about the fair, much has remained the same with a focus remaining on agriculture.
That petting zoo opens at 6 p.m. in the barn near the grandstands and there will be live music by Naturewalk Band from the fair opening until close this evening.
Gate admission is $3 and it’s only $1 for members of the military with an ID and free for children two and younger.
