At the College World Series in Omaha, former University Heights standout Drew McGowan did not play in Mississippi State’s 6-5 win over Virginia. The Cavaliers led 4-0 before the Bulldogs scored six times in the 8th inning to take the lead. Mississippi State is now 47-10 and meets Texas tomorrow night at 6 pm
In an elimination game, Texas ended Tennessee’s season 8-4. The Vols finish the season 50-18.
