Vanderbilt lost to NC State 1-0 in the College World Series. Jack Leiter finished with 15 strikeouts and allowed four hits in eight innings in defeat. The Commodores play Stanford tomorrow night in an elimination game. Stanford eliminated Arizona 14-5 in Monday’s other game.
Today’s action has Tennessee facing Texas in an elimination game at 1 pm this afternoon with former UHA standout Drew McGowan and Mississippi State facing Virginia at 6 this evening.
