WPSD-Paducah reports Mineral Mounds Golf Course in Lyon County is getting a new name. Governor Andy Beshear told the family of Cullan Brown last week the course was being renamed in his honor. It will soon be known as “The Cullan at Mineral Mound State Park.” in honor of Brown who grew up learning the game of golf at that course.
The former University of Kentucky and Lyon County High golfer died following a year-long battle with cancer last August. A ceremony to rename the course will be held this August.
