Hoppers rally Sunday night for dramatic win over Paducah

The Paducah Chiefs used a seven run second inning to build a 10-1 lead before the Hoptown Hoppers scored 11 times in three of their last four at bats to win 12-11 last night at Colonel Field.

BJ Banyon’s fielder’s choice brought home Tanner Holliman with the winning run in the bottom of the ninth. Holliman had two hits including a three run home run, with Nico Montes, Arlon Butts and Alex Gonzales each adding a pair of hits. Chase Gruno got the pitching win for the Hoppers-now 6-3 on the season. The Hoppers are off today before beginning a three game road trip at Muhlenberg County tomorrow night.
