J.R. Knight, who ran an unsuccessful campaign for mayor of Hopkinsville in 2020, will try again in 2022.
Knight is a Republican and works at James Knight Appliance, which was founded by his late father, James Knight, Sr.
Knight says the 2020 campaign was very different because of pandemic restrictions and he’s excited to be able to knock on doors and meet with citizens face to face.
He says he’ll again focus on a message of reigning in spending and not raising taxes.
Knight says he’d find ways to support local small businesses, if elected.
Knight will face Vince Farrell in the 2022 Republican primary.
