Todd Co. music educator selected as quarter-finalist for Music Educator Award

The Todd County Middle School Band Director continues to rake in prestigious recognitions in musical education.

According to a news release, Heather Dipasquale, Todd County Middle School Band Director and Assistant High School Band Director for Todd County Central High School, was recently selected as a quarterfinalist for the prestigious Music Educator Award presented by the Recording Academy and the Grammy Museum for a third year. Only 219 quarterfinalists were chosen.

The annual Music Educator Award was established to recognize current educators, from kindergarten through college, who have made a significant and lasting contribution to the field of music education and who demonstrate a commitment to the broader cause of maintaining music education in the schools. After intensive review of thousands of nationwide educators, Dipasquale was notified that she was selected as one of the remaining music teachers named as quarterfinalists for 2022.

Semifinalists will be determined this fall, announced in September.
