Christian County saw its baseball season end in a 9-5 loss to Henderson County Saturday in the 2nd Region tournament at University Heights Academy. The game was tied 5-5 before the northern Colonels exploded for six runs, including two home runs in the bottom of the sixth inning. Christian County was held to six hits, with Carter Sholar getting two of them. Elijah Underhill took the pitching loss as the southern Colonels end the season 8-20.
Henderson County improved to 21-14 and face Crittenden County in the first semifinal at the 2nd region tournament Sunday afternoon at 1 pm.
