The third annual Squealin’ on the Square took place Friday and kicked off the summer with winners and music.
There were three food categories for the food competition—ribs, chicken and pork chops. The food was judged based on presentation, taste and tenderness of entries and winners received $250 and the trophy in each meat division. A panelist of judges presided over the competition, with 10 teams partcipating.
In the end, the Hopkinsville Fire Department won in the ribs category, the winner of the chicken category was Kinfolk Catering, who was also the winner of the pork chop category.
The Hopkinsville Fire Department donated their winnings to the Pennyrile Children’s Advocacy Center.
