The Los Angeles Dodgers scored eleven first inning runs en route to a 14-3 win over the St. Louis Cardinals. Carlos Martínez got the loss after giving up ten runs in less than an inning of work. Paul Goldschmidt and Dylan Carlson each homered for St. Louis, which dropped two of three in the series.

Javier Báez drilled a two-run home run as the Chicago Cubs completed the three game sweep of the San Diego Padres with a 6-1 win at Wrigley Field. The Cubs visit the San Francisco Giants tonight.

Dansby Swanson homered but the Atlanta Braves fell to the Washington Nationals 5-3. Ozzie Albies drove in a pair of runs on two base hits for Atlanta. The teams wrap up the series this afternoon at Truist Park.
