Ky. adds 429 COVID-19 cases, six new deaths

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear reported 429 new cases of COVID-19 Thursday, along with six new deaths.

According to an update, the positivity rate is now at 2.52 percent, fairly level with recent numbers—the six new deaths puts the death toll at 7,077. The county with the highest vaccination rate in the state is Woodford County at 62 percent and Christian County is the lowest at 19 percent.

There are currently 307 individuals in the hospital with coronavirus, 91 in the ICU and 46 on a ventilator.

Christian and Trigg Counties remain ‘yellow’ on the state incidence rate map, with Todd County also staying ‘orange’.
