The 400 Mile Yard Sale is officially underway as of Thursday, with the bargains set to continue throughout the weekend.
The event that spans a long trail along U.S. 68 is back to its usual time frame, after it was delayed until October last year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions that came with it. Sales and booths are dotted all over, including at the Christian County Animal Shelter on Russellville Road, with Director Irene Grace saying all money raised this weekend will go towards their spay and neuter program.
The crowds are expected to be big this year, so motorists on US 68 are reminded to use abundant caution this weekend. Be alert for slow-moving traffic and for automobiles stopping at sales.
For a list of sales in Trigg, Christian, Todd, Logan and other counties along the route, go to 400mile.com. The sale officially goes through Sunday, but most sellers will close up shop sometime Saturday afternoon.
