Heritage Christian Academy names John Walsh to lead school

Heritage Christian Academy has announced they now have a new headmaster in John Walsh.

According to a news release, Walsh is currently the Assistant Principal at Pembroke Elementary School but will be transitioning into his role as Headmaster at Heritage Christian Academy in July of 2021.

Walsh graduated from Western Kentucky with a Bachelors of Science in Religious Studies and has a Masters of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (as well as a Masters of Arts in Special Education from Murray State University, Masters of Arts in Educational Leadership Level One from Murray State University and Educational Leadership Level 2 from Western Kentucky University.   He brings both classroom and administrative experience to the table.

Walsh says, “I am excited for the opportunity to join the HCA family as Headmaster. As a parent of two HCA graduates, I look forward to continuing the tradition of excellence in education with a strong Biblical foundation.”

Heritage Christian Academy’s next school year is set to begin on August 10. Walsh takes the place of Headmaster Linda Garris, who served in that capacity for 17 years and recently retired.
