Summer Reading program set to begin June 1

The Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library is gearing up for their Summer Reading, which is set to kick off on Tuesday.

Youth Services Librarian Jennifer Annis-Domenech appeared on WHOP Friday and says they’re excited to once again bring this to the community—there will prizes up for grabs for readers of all ages, with activities happening throughout the month long event.

The prizes available are split up into appropriate age groups, from kids, tweens, teens and adults.

She’s hopeful they’ll have good participation in the event as a way to put the past year of cancellations and delays behind them.

Individuals can sign up for the Summer Reading program by going online to the Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library website or by downloading the Beanstack app and creating an account.  Readers use Beanstack to earn rewards and log the number of minutes read.
