Officials say one of the two people injured in a houseboat explosion on the Cumberland River in Clarksville has died.
Doctors at Tennova Healthcare-Clarksville confirmed Sunday night the 54-year-old woman had died while a 56-year-old man remained hospitalized.
According to Clarksville Fire and Rescue, the 38-foot boat had finished refueling at the Montgomery County Conservation Club when it exploded, throwing both victims into the water. The cause of the explosion remains under investigation.
