The Christian County Public School System has approved approximately 90 students to take part in their Fusion workforce program.
According to a news release from CCPS Spokesperson John Rittenhouse, the incoming high school seniors who will be a part of the Fusion work-based community program will learn the world-of-work in their area of concentration, and it also benefits the employers and the community. Employers receive assistance in selecting qualified personnel through the Fusion application process and by participating in Fusion, employers are helping the community in “growing our own workforce” for Hopkinsville and Christian County.
All students are at least 17 years of age and a concentrator in at least one of several career and technical education areas, including agriculture, biomedical science, culinary arts, electrical construction, family and consumer services, graphic design, pre-nursing, welding and more.
The school system continues to look for interested employers to participate in the program.
