As alluded to at Tuesday’s meeting, the City Hopkinsville announced Wednesday that people entering the Hopkinsville Municipal Center or other city buildings will no longer be required to have temperature checks or wear facial coverings effective immediately.
According to a news release, those who wish to continue wearing face coverings may do so at their discretion. Individuals experiencing COVID-19 symptoms should not enter city buildings and are strongly encouraged to seek medical attention.
City Council, Committee of the Whole and other public meetings will continue in-person without social distancing or other COVID related restrictions—the meetings will continue to be streamed online for the public to watch.
CDS offices will be open to the public during normal business hours from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Human Rights Commission will have appointments available for in-person meetings with HRC staff and they are open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
