After some serious delays thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Hopkinsville-Christian County Leadership Hopkinsville 2019-2020 class finally go to unveil their project.

The class project was renovating and revamping the second-floor patio at the Hopkinsville-Christian County Library, with Director Deanna Sova saying they were thrilled to be selected for the project, and it has been a much needed, great change for the library.  During an unveiling event Friday, class leader Candra Barnett says she’s very proud of the leadership class that had to overcome some never-before-seen obstacles.

She says this is truly what leaders do when things get hard—they figure out the best course of action, and then make it happen.

The class of 2019-20 also made a $1,000 donation to the Humane Society of Hopkinsville, and the recipient of the Sherri Jeffers Spirit of Leadership Award was RB Miller.

Applications are being accepted now for the next Leadership Hopkinsville class, with applications available on the Christian County Chamber of Commerce website.
