The St. Louis Cardinals held the Brewers in check before giving up three runs in the bottom of the eighth and losing 4-1 in Milwaukee. Tyler O’Neill’s homered in the top half of the eighth for St. Louis, which had its four-game winning streak snapped. The three-game set wraps up today.
Interleague
The Chicago Cubs fell 2-1 in 10 innings to the Cleveland Indians, while leaving 15 men on base. Joc Pederson doubled in the only run for Chicago, who has now lost three straight. The Cubs open a series at the Detroit Tigers tomorrow.
The Atlanta Braves lost their second consecutive game against Toronto 4-1. Atlanta has now dropped to 0-and-5 against the Blue Jays this season while being outscored 35-16. The teams conclude the series today at Truist Park.
