The Tennessee Titans will join the rest of the NFL in releasing the highly anticipated 2021 schedule tonight. Some of Tennessee’s opponents include home games against Kansas City and Buffalo.
NBA
One day after clinching a play-in spot, the Memphis Grizzlies dominate the visiting Dallas Mavericks, 133-104. Ja Morant got into the groove with a team-high 24 points. Memphis welcomes Sacramento for a two game series beginning tomorrow night.
Horse Racing
The field is set for the 146th Preakness Stakes at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, Maryland. Kentucky Derby winner Medina Spirit is the nine-to-five morning line favorite in Saturday’s race. He’ll break from the number three post position in the ten-horse field. An agreement was reached to allow the Bob Baffert-trained colt to compete despite a failed drug test after his Derby win. The horse must undergo pre-race drug testing and he’ll be scratched if any banned substances are detected.
Meanwhile, Baffert admitted Tuesday to giving the horse ointment that contained the steroid betamethasone. Horses can no longer receive the steroid two weeks before a race, but Medina Spirit received the ointment until the day before the Kentucky Derby. Baffert and Medina Spirit will have their Derby win disqualified if a second test for the steroid comes back positive.
