Ky. adds 680 COVID cases, positivity rate at 3.09 percent

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear reported 680 new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday, along with ten new deaths.

According to a post, nearly 1.9 million people have now received at least the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, inching the state closer the goal of 2.5 million.  The positivity rate drop once again, now down to 3.09 percent, the lowest it has been in several weeks.

Christian County remains listed as the lowest county in the state for vaccination rate at 17 percent, followed closely by Spencer County at 18 percent.

Kentucky has now administered approximately 6.2 million COVID-19 tests since the pandemic began.
