Leave approval for Fort Campbell soldiers could be tied to COVID vaccinations

New cases of COVID-19 have been on the decline on Fort Campbell and while vaccines won’t be mandatory for soldiers, there will be real incentive to get the shot.

Garrison Commander, Col. Jeremy Bell says Fort Campbell is seeing a similar decline to its surrounding communities.

101st Airborne Division and Fort Campbell commander, Maj. Gen. JP McGee says having travel leave approved will be a smooth process for soldiers who are fully vaccinated.

While the specifics on protocols haven’t been finalized, having leave approved won’t be the same as it has in the past for non-vaccinated soldiers.

In other notable information, Col. Bell confirmed during the online town hall that gas stations on post and in surrounding communities have a sufficient supply of fuel.
