The Christian County Health Department has administered over 20,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine at its regional site in the Bruce Convention Center and officials are hoping more people will sign up for the shot.
Amanda Sweeney-Brunt appeared Tuesday on WHOP and says not all of those doses went to Christian County residents.
She echoed Christian County Judge-Executive Steve Tribble’s concerns that it appears vaccine data from Kentucky residents on Fort Campbell isn’t being reflected in the state numbers that show Christian County at the bottom of the rankings for vaccination rate.
She encourages anyone who has been hesitant so far about getting vaccinated to do their research and then go to the Christian County Health Department website to get an appointment.
While the Moderna and Johnson and Johnson vaccines are limited to individuals 18 and older, the Pfizer vaccine can now be administered to anyone 12 and up. Appointments for the Pfizer shot can be made on the Walgreens website.
