Horse Racing

The Daily Racing Form reports the attorney for trainer Bob Baffert is preparing to file a temporary restraining order that would prohibit Pimlico Race Course from denying Baffert the opportunity to enter Kentucky Derby winner Medina Spirit in the Preakness Stakes in Baltimore on Saturday. Baffert has been suspended by Churchill Downs after Medina Spirit tested positive for a drug following the Kentucky Derby win. Post positions for The Preakness will be drawn tomorrow afternoon after Pimlico’s ownership decides if Medina Spirit will be allowed to enter the race.

Golf

Wells Fargo Championship winner Rory McIlroy said after winning the event for the third time Sunday he almost withdrew from the event Wednesday night. McIlroy explained his neck locked up on the practice range Wednesday and said if his tee time had been in the morning on Thursday, he would have pulled out.
