There was an officer involved shooting in Clarksville Saturday evening at a location on Hedge Apple Drive.
According to a news release from the Clarksville Police Department, officers responded to 100 block of Hedge Apple for reports of a women who had been shot in relation to a domestic event. Upon arrival, a male suspect reportedly opened fire on officers. Officers returned fire and the suspect was struck, who was killed.
The female victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound, and her condition is currently unknown.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation will be investigating the incident and no further information was available. The names of those involved have not been released.
