Hopkinsville Community College honored their class of 2021 graduations with three separate ceremonies Friday and Saturday.
The final ceremony took place Saturday afternoon, and the spaced out celebration was to allow for everyone to celebrate while remaining within pandemic health guidelines. HCC President and CEO Alissa Young says the pandemic is something these dedicated students have had to fight with for too long, but they never let it stop them from achieving what they set out to do.
She urged them to keep this difficult time in mind as they move forward in life, and when confronted with troubles again, remember the time they overcame all odds to be victorious.
All three ceremonies were streamed live and can be viewed on the Hopkinsville Community College Facebook page. Approximately 405 students applied for 703 credentials, including 264 two-year degrees, 17 diplomas and 422 certificates.
Friday was also HCC’s Nurse Pinning ceremony, where 30 nursing program graduates were recognized.
