Hopkinsville police are seeking a named suspect in connection with the shooting of a woman Thursday night on North Elm Street.
Public Information Officer Mike Atkins says Marshawn DeAngelo Taylor is sought on a warrant for first-degree assault, wanton endangerment and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
Taylor allegedly shot 26-year old Marka Smith of Owensboro while she was inside a vehicle in the 100 block of North Elm about 10:45 p.m.
Smith was taken by EMS to a helicopter and then flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
