Happy birthday, Kyle Busch. As he turned 36 on Sunday, Busch notched his first win of the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series season at the Buschy McBush Race 400 in Kansas City. The 11th race of the season had Kevin Harvick finish second, followed by Brad Keselowski in the third spot.
The first place finish was also Busch’s second career win at Kansas Speedway. Next up is the Goodyear 400, set to take place in Darlington, South Carolina on May 9th.
Former NASCAR driver and team owner Eric McClure has died at the age of 42. The McClure family issued to a statement confirming his passing on Sunday, but the cause of his death is unknown. McClure made three Cup starts between 2004 and 2006, was the owner of Martin-McClure Racing that launched in 2016, and was the son of former Morgan-McClure Motorsports co-owner Jerry McClure.
