With severe weather in the forecast, now is a good time to be sure you are signed up for emergency text notifications through Christian County Emergency Management.
Randy Graham is the Christian County Emergency Management director and says signing up will ensure you get warnings on your cell phone.
Signing up is as easy as texting Christian County to 81437.
While a vast majority of alerts will be for weather warnings, alerts can also be issued for other types of emergencies or situations.
It’s also good to have a battery-powered NOAA Weather Radio as a way to receive warnings at any time of the night or day if all else fails.
