A baby was killed and two people were seriously injured in a single-vehicle accident Friday morning in Muhlenberg County.
Kentucky State Police say 25-year old Kaitlyn Piper of Beech Creek was northbound on KY 189 near Greens Chapel Road when her vehicle drifted across the southbound lane for an unknown reason, went off the roadway and struck a tree.
None of the occupants of the vehicle were properly restrained and Piper and one juvenile passenger were flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
Another passenger, one-year-old Serenity O’Bannon of Beech Creek, was taken to Muhlenberg Community Hospital where she died from her injuries.
