Hopkinsville police are investigating after a man was seriously injured in an assault late Wednesday night on Sharpe Street.
Officers were called to the 1200 block of Sharpe about 10:20 p.m. and found 38-year old Anthony Johnson of Hopkinsville with a severe laceration, according to the incident report, which says Johnson had been struck with some type of object.
Sgt. Chris Bond says Johnson was flown by Air Evac to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
No suspect was arrested in connection with the assault.
