Hopkinsville mowed down University Heights 5-0 and 13-0 in 5 innings in an 8th district doubleheader. Tiger pitcher Preston Chadouin allowed just an infield single to UHA’s Eston Glover in the 7th inning of the first game. Chadouin struck out 13 while Blake Balthrop went 2-3 at the plate.Zach Moss went 3-3 in the nightcap as Logan Durst pitched a no hitter and struck out eight. The Tigers improved to 11-3 and 4-0 in the district while the Blazers fell to 5-13 and conclude district play 3-3. University Heights welcomes West Creek today.
Lyon County was a 7-2 winner over Christian County. The Colonels were held to three hits, one each for Hayden Hunt, Josh Snorton and Chance Henderson. Houston George took the pitching loss for Christian County-now 3-10 on the season.
