The iconic Dodger Stadium hot dog is no longer the same . The Dodger Dog was invented in 1962 and Vernon, CA meat packer Farmer John has been producing the extra-long hot dogs used at Dodger Stadium since 1972. However, it’s no longer the same hot dog fans have been enjoying at the ballpark this season. The organization did not renew its contract with Farmer John and while the team owns the trademark for “Dodger Dogs,” it has yet to announce which new vendor they have been using to serve the iconic ballpark treat for their 11 home games so far this season.
