Number of new COVID cases fell by 14 percent in Ky. last week

The number of new cases of COVID-19 last week was down by about 14 percent from the previous week and the state’s positivity rate continues to decline.

Governor Andy Beshear reported 325 new cases Sunday, four recent deaths, nine deaths from the ongoing state audit of the reporting system and a positivity rate of 3.14 percent.

Hospitalizations have dropped to 381, 99 Kentuckians are in the ICU and 45 are on a ventilator.

Just over 1.7 million Kentuckians have received at least their first dose of a COVID vaccine.

Christian, Todd and Trigg counties are all orange on the state incidence rate map.
