CCHD reports four identified COVID-19 related deaths, 7 new cases

The Christian County Health Department has reported four more COVID-19 related deaths that were identified in the ongoing audit of the state reporting system.

Two of the victims are described as a 65-year old African-American male and a 68-year old African-America male, both of whom had underlying health conditions.  The other two victims were an 80-year old Caucasian female and a 52-year old Caucasian female, and they reportedly had no known underlying health conditions.

The health department also reported seven new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total locally up to 6,890—of that, 166 cases are considered active and 6,623 people have recovered from the virus.

Those four reported deaths puts the death toll in Christian County over 100—there have now been 101 COVID-19 related deaths since the pandemic began.
