Todd County remains tied for the lowest unemployment rate in Kentucky and Christian County’s jobless rate remained steady from February to March.
Todd County’s jobless rate was 3.8 percent in March, up from 3.5 percent in February. That was tied with Oldham and Woodford County for the lowest numbers in the state.
It was down from 4.4 percent in March of 2020.
Christian County’s unemployment rate in March was 5.6 percent—the same as February—and less than 6.1 percent from a year ago. It equated to 1,352 people who were looking for work and unable to find it.
The jobless rate in Trigg County was 5.5 percent, up from 5.4 percent in February and down from 5.9 percent in March of last year.
The state average was an even 5 percent and the national number was 6.2 percent.
