The 71st WHOP Rotary Radio Auction is more than halfway to the finish line and all money raised goes to help local youth in one way or another.

Christian County School System Superintendent Chris Bentzel followed through on his promise to take a pie to the face if schools raised at least $20,000 and HCC President and Rotarian Dr. Alisa Young did the honors.
Sinking Fork Elementary took home the prize for most money raised and most raised per-capita, handing over $4,700 to Rotary.

The overall total through three nights is $138,522.
As always, a large portion of proceeds will help local high school graduates attend HCC for free through the Rotary Scholars program and some student loans are also still issued. Auction Chair Cody Noffsinger says some of this year’s funds will also help establish the new Rotary Club Foundation.
Another set of Big Board items will be sold tonight and they can be found on the Hopkinsville Rotary website.
