Madisonville North Hopkins football coach Jay Burgett announced his resignation on social media Thursday. In his statement, he said he was proud that the players he coached took the field with a commitment and discipline that was unmatched. A short time after he made the announcement, Henderson County announced on social media Burgett will become associate athletics director and associate head coach.
