Sports Briefs 4/19/21

NHL

The Nashville Predators host the Chicago Blackhawks tonight in Nashville for the first of three games this week against Chicago. The next two games will be Wednesday and Friday in the Windy City. First puck drops at 7 in Bridgestone Arena.

NBA

Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies continue their seven-game trip with a stop tonight in Denver. Memphis won Saturday in Milwaukee and is 2-and-0 to start this journey.

NASCAR

Alex Bowman only led 10 laps but took home the win at the Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond. Bowman started all the way back in 24th but managed to work his way to the front. Denny Hamlin led 207 laps but finished second. Joey Logano finished in third. Christopher Bell and Martin Truex Jr. rounded out the top five.

Golf

Stewart Cink fired a final-round 70 and cruised to a four-stoke victory for his third RBC Heritage victory. He finished at minus-19 at Harbour Town Golf Links for his second PGA Tour win this year. Emiliano Grillo and Harold Varner the Third tied for second. Maverick McNealy was among a group tied for fourth at minus-13 after birdieing four of the first five holes.

Steve Stricker won the Chubb Classic, this week’s PGA Tour Champions stop in Naples, FL Sunday. Stricker finished the event at 16 under, one shot better than Alex Cejka and Robert Karlsson.
