Hopkinsville’s Downtown Farmer’s Market opened for the 2021 season Saturday morning with a good crowd and the local Master Gardeners on hand.
Kathy Waldrop with the Master Gardeners says they had a drawing people could sign up for and they were giving out tree saplings.
Ana Draceski says those saplings were popular and there was a good crowd with nearly perfect weather for the market’s first day.
The market begins with Saturday and Tuesday morning hours as always, but organizers say it’s possible a nighttime market could debut later this summer if pandemic numbers improve.
