Gov reports 714 new COVID cases, climbing positivity rate

Governor Andy Beshear reported 714 new cases of COVID-19 and a positivity rate that continues to climb at 3.51 percent Friday.

He also reported 10 new deaths and five from an audit of the state reporting system.

Hospitalizations increased to 418, but the ICU census fell to 94 and patients on a ventilator dropped to 42.

The governor noted in his report that there are over a half-million appointments available statewide to get a Moderna or Pfizer vaccine.
