Unemployment down slightly from February to March

Unemployment was down slightly from February to March in Kentucky.

Kentucky’s seasonally adjusted preliminary March unemployment rate was 5 percent, according to the Kentucky Center for Statistics.

That was down two tenths of a point from February and up from 4.2 percent one year ago.

The national jobless rate for March 2021 was 6 percent, down from the 6.2 percent reported in February, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.
