The St. Louis Cardinals were blanked 6-0 by the Washington Nationals at Busch Stadium. Adam Wainwright was tagged with the loss after allowing four runs, three earned, on seven hits over five frames. St. Louis dropped two of three in the series. The Cards hit the road to face the Philadelphia Phillies tomorrow night.

Meanwhile, Cardinals’ longtime catcher Yadier Molina made history again. Molina caught the two-thousandth game of his career in yesterday’s loss to the Nationals at Busch Stadium. The backstop is the sixth catcher in MLB history to reach such a mark. Molina is the only player in league history to have caught two-thousand games for the same team.

The Chicago Cubs offensive struggles continue following a 7-0 defeat to the Brewers in Milwaukee. Chicago recorded just four hits, no walks and struck out 12 times. The Cubs dropped two of three in the series. Chicago hosts the Atlanta Braves tomorrow.

Ronald Acuna Jr. is the gift that keeps on giving but the Atlanta Braves dropped a close game to Miami 6-5 in 10 innings. Acuna homered twice and had four RBI as Atlanta lost its fourth straight. The Braves try to avoid the four-game sweep today.

Chicago White Sox pitcher Carlos Rodon handcuffed Cleveland hitters for nine innings in an 8-0 no-hit win over the Indians. Rodon lost a bid for a perfect game by hitting Roberto Perez with one out in the ninth-inning. Rodon pitched the 20th all-time no-hitter for Chicago, giving them the most of any American League franchise.
